Beating Diet Boredom With Progresso™

Diet boredom happens to the best of us. Let's face it, going on a diet is never exciting. The idea of eating "rabbit food" is even less thrilling! I am so happy to announce that you do not have to eat bland, boring food anymore-Progresso™ can add a little zest to your healthy lifestyle!

With over 40 delicious flavors at 100 calories or less per serving, Progresso™ has helped make my life a lot easier-and tastier-when I am busy chasing around my 8 month old. Sometimes, I do not have the time to make an elaborate lunch, but the soup is so good, you wouldn't believe that it came from a can! It is simple to throw a can in your purse and take to work or heat a serving up for a quick meal.

Here are my favorite tips to beating diet boredom:

  • Try a variety of new foods. If you are stuck eating the same ham sandwich every day for lunch, maybe it is time to try that grilled light balsamic chicken salad that you have been thinking about. Keeping a variety of foods to eat will help keep your diet refreshing. Progresso has over 40 soup flavors-vary things up and try them all!
  • Add some spice. Spices and flavoring works wonders, I tell ya! I used to hate vegetables-until I found the right seasonings to put onto them. Spices can take an ordinary meal and make it extra tasty. Though Progresso soup is already tasty, I will sometimes add my special little touch with fresh cracked black pepper or garlic powder.
  • Snack often. Just because you are dieting does not mean you have to eat less! By aiming to eat 6 small meals per day, you have a little something to look forward to and it keeps your metabolism working in overdrive. I love eating my Progresso soup, not only as a meal, but also a snack.
  • Make up your own recipes. Have fun with your diet and make up your own rules! Take a recipe that you have been making for years and change an ingredient or add a new veggie to it. Create your own masterpiece meals and it will have you excited to try them (and to share them) once you are done cooking!
  • Make a plan. This might be the most important tip! By planning, you know what to expect from your diet and how to avoid boredom in the first place. Plan out your meals, grocery shopping trips, your recipes, and anything else that you may need.
  • Make a healthier version of your guilty treats. When dieting, people often focus on what they can't eat versus what they actually can. This can cause diet boredom and frustration. However, you can certainly treat yourself by making a healthier alternative to what you crave. If you look online or on Pinterest, I bet that you can find a healthier alternative to anything: ice cream, brownies, cookies-I have seen it all! Don't be afraid to look and explore.
